EST&P student, Rohit Garg, and team "Teratonix" won 2nd at Allegheny Region Cleantech Competition
14 teams competed for a $50,000 prize at the Annual held at 온라인바카라 during 바카라 온라인 추천 Energy Week on March 28, 2017.
The 바카라 온라인 추천 team, Teratonix, led by Tepper master's student Ivan Pistsov, recently placed second and won $10,000 at the Cleantech Competition. Teratonix is a 바카라 온라인 추천 spinoff that is currently developing a revolutionary RF-energy harvester to convert ambient radio waves to electricity, the first on the market to produce a meaningful amount of energy to replace batteries in low-power IoT devices
EST&P master’s student, Rohit Garg was part of the team, Teratonix, that took second place and worked with students and faculty from 바카라 온라인 추천 Tepper School of Business and the College of Engineering. Rohit contributed to the project by helping the business lead, Ivan Pistov, with technical inputs and calculations to help the team with their business pitches. Teratonix also won the $5,000 Transformational Idea Award at Look West (FLoW) Competition in April 2017. The award is part of FLoW's U.S. Department of Energy Cleantech UP business plan competition and recognizes outstanding pre-commercial ideas and applied research projects focused on cleantech and sustainability.
Previously, Teratonix won second place at 바카라 온라인 추천’s on March 21, 2017. The McGinnis Venture Competition brings together Carnegie Mellon's best and brightest student entrepreneurs to compete for $60K in investments. All participants received crucial interaction with alumni entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, an opportunity to raise capital and valuable feedback about ventures.
