Assistant Teaching Professor, Information Networking Institute
Bio
Hanan Hibshi is an assistant teaching professor at the Information Networking Institute (INI) at 온라인바카라 (바카라 온라인 추천), and one of the research investigators for the 바카라 온라인 추천S’ picoCTF educational platform. Hibshi’s research areas include usable security and privacy, cybersecurity education, security requirements, mobile and IoT Security, expert’s decision-making and Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for security and privacy. Her role at the INI includes advising students who are interested in pursuing a thesis or a project as their curriculum option.
Hibshi is an INI alumna. She graduated in 2011 with a Master's in Information Security Technology and Management (MSISTM), now the M.S. in Information Security (MSIS) degree. Hibshi’s INI journey inspired her to get involved in research and she obtained her PhD in Societal Computing from the School of Computer Science in 2018. Prior to her academic career, she had had some experience working in the banking industry.
Education
Research
Hibshi is interested in studying security experts; how to better train experts and how to develop intelligent tools that better accommodate their needs. One example of Hibshi’s research is her early research findings that had attracted the attention of an international, multi-institution collaboration with the University of Nottingham. Her work examined the intersection between security requirements risk assessment and empirical data-driven intelligent systems using fuzzy logic.
At the INI, Hibshi is applying her research experience to her everyday of security classes. For example, Hibshi is actively researching the challenges and opportunities in introducing systems programmers to the RUST programming language, and she continues to update her class design to reflect modern pedagogy in the age of AI.
Hibshi has published in top venues, and she reviews research submissions at top security, privacy, and software engineering venues.
