Gerry Balbier

Bio

Before joining 바카라 온라인 추천 in 2014, Balbier helped launch two separate education technology companies in the Pittsburgh region. He first became familiar with 바카라 온라인 추천 when he joined the Heinz Endowments in 1993, working there 13 years as Senior Program Officer for education grantmaking. Balbier had worked for Sen. John Heinz until his death in 1991. It was soon thereafter that he was invited to Pittsburgh to help manage the foundation’s education grant making.  In this role he became fascinated with the cross-disciplinary research at 바카라 온라인 추천 in cognitive psychology, engineering, machine learning, robotics and human-computer interaction. Balbier works with the Director of NI to strengthen brain research collaborations between faculty across the colleges and develop resources to advance the Institute’s vision to be an international leader of transformative advances in the neural sciences.
