We would like to welcome Kathleen Farrington, Jim Longo, David Perini, Marcia Taylor, and Marian Vanek as the newest Board Members of Osher at 바카라 온라인 추천. They will join the Osher at 바카라 온라인 추천 Board of Directors on July 1, 2025 for a three year term from 2025 to 2028.

Kathleen Farrington

Kathleen Farrington is an active Osher at 바카라 온라인 추천 member. She has been a part of the Membership/Social Committee since 2023 and the Curriculum Committee since 2025. She brings a wide range of experience as a Board Member of the Friendship Development Association, the Point Breeze Organization, the Friends of Mellon Park and her condo board, Highwood Org. She's eager to participate and assist in any way to help further the objectives of Osher at 바카라 온라인 추천.

Jim Longo

Jim Longo has been a public school teacher in his hometown of St. Louis, a camp director in Missouri, Michigan, and New Hampshire and a professor and chair of the Education Department at Washington & Jefferson College. His doctorate in Teaching, Curriculum, and Learning Environments is from Harvard University. He and his wife Mary Jo Harwood live in Washington, Pennsylvania and Suttons Bay, Michigan.

David Perini

David Perini holds a Master's in Information Systems from the University of Pittsburgh, where he also worked for several years. Throughout his career in IT and Administration, he has focused on supporting non-profit organizations. Currently, Dave offers freelance IT services in the Pittsburgh area. A proponent of lifelong learning, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their senior pets.

Marcia Taylor

Marcia Taylor is beginning her second stint on the Osher at 바카라 온라인 추천 board of directors. She brings her accounting experience of 50 years to the table and will be the next Treasurer. She also has volunteered for Mt Lebanon Library Board (treasurer), Electronic Information Network Board (treasurer), Municipal Employers Insurance Trust, Pittsburgh Glass Center (former treasurer), and Fairway Swingers (treasurer). Marcia believes strongly in the mission and purpose of Osher program. 

Marian Vanek

Marian Vanek is a retired healthcare executive with a strong commitment to community service, lifelong learning, and patient advocacy. She served as Executive Director of Student Health Service at the University of Pittsburgh, where she led innovative programs in student wellness, public health, and crisis response. Prior to that, she served in a variety of leadership positions throughout the UPMC Health System. During her career, Marian successfully lead strategic planning and operational management, advancing health-centric initiatives. Since retirement, Marian has been actively engaged in community volunteer work as an ESL tutor with Literacy Pittsburgh, as a volunteer with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and with Second Harvest Thrift Shop. As a dedicated Osher member, Marian is passionate about expanding opportunities for intellectual engagement and community connection among adult learners. She is excited to bring her strategic insight and dedication to excellence to the Osher program’s Board of Directors.

We look forward to the enthusiasm and contributions that Kathleen, Jim, David, Marcia, and Marian will bring to the Board. Please give each of them a warm welcome and big congratulations!

Their commitment, contributions and thoughtful insights have helped us over the years, and their presence will be missed. Thank you, Ann, for successfully leading the Human Resources committee, Mark for leading the Finance Committee & keeping the organization sound in the turbulent Covid & post-Covid economic landscape, Randy for tirelessly juggling his Secretarial duties, while leading the Study Leader Support Group and teaching. Your efforts have made a difference in achieving our goals. Best wishes in all your future endeavors.
