Generative Artificial Intelligence (genAI)
As the interest in genAI grows, there is an urgent need to understand its current capabilities, limits, and their implications for business. The CIB wants to help business leaders navigate this exciting technology.
GenAI Fellows
The GenAI fellows conduct research to enhance the understanding of genAI applications in functional areas of business and make resources and research available to business leaders who engage with the center.
The 2024 genAI fellows will develop targeted research proposals to formulate and suggest methodologies for solving a business research problem facilitated by genAI, or study the management challenges or impact of genAI on businesses and the economy.
Projects include:
- Explore techniques for using generative AI to enhance human decision making in contexts where groups need to balance optimal output with the need for diverse inputs.
- Research ethical policies that should guide the development of companies’ benchmarks for safety and fairness.
- Explore how generative AI tools can help optimize automated recommendations, ensuring they are better suited to users’ preferences.
